Dr. Seuss' birthday is March 2nd and it is also Read Across America day.  Although, it is a event sponsored by the NEA (not supporters of homeschooling), I still like Dr. Seuss and always enjoy a good excuse to celebrate reading.  So, I was looking for an event to celebrate his birthday and couldn't find much going on in Anchorage during the week because it is Fur Rondy week, so I decided our family would throw a party.  Only one problem, I can't do it on his actual birthday, so we will get together the next week.

So, please come over for a little get-together on Thursday, March 10th around 11am.  We'll read some books together, play, do a few crafts and eat!  I may even make a birthday cake.  We'll see.  Maybe just cupcakes.

What can you bring?  Your favorite Dr. Seuss book, of course.  We'll read some of them aloud and/or maybe your child can read it to a friend.

Although, our house is not quite party-ready, I'm inviting you all over anyway.  :)

If you can, send
me quick note that you are coming, since I am planning on making some food to share, (but come even if you don't get a chance to email me.) Others are welcome to bring food to share too or lunch just for your kids.   What ever works best for you.

We'll look forward to seeing you!
