12/9 - Downtown Adventure

We are huge fans of Jan Brett's Gingerbread Baby.  We read it every December over and over.  We usually make gingerbread houses over Thanksgiving weekend, but we haven't gotten to it yet this year.  Meanwhile, we thought it would be fun to head downtown to see the giant Gingerbread Village at the Hotel Captain Cook.  Maybe it will inspire us (it is really just me, who needs the inspiration) to make our houses again this year.

So, please join us Thursday, 12/9 at 11ish in the Captain Cook lobby to look at the village.  Then we plan to take a walk to the town square to see the tree and the decorated shop windows.  There is ice skating at Town Square, although I think they only groom it on the weekends.  So, we might throw our skates in the truck too, especially if others say they are interested in skating.

All you need is maybe a lunch or snacks, warm clothes and some change for the parking meter.

Hope to see some of you there.
