12/16 - Anchorage Museum and IDEA Open House

Some weeks I can barely come up with one thing and this week I had two from which to choose.  I decided to post them both.

The Anchorage Museum has their special annual exhibit, Wonderland of Toys on display.  So, we thought it might be fun to go see it and then spend a little time in the Imaginarium.  We'll meet there at about 11am.   We plan to bring our lunch and eat there.

More information about parking or admission is available at  museum's website.

Secondly, Jane let me know that IDEA is having an open house.  Here is the info that IDEA sent out:

You are warmly invited to a Winter Open House with cookies and crafts for all ages at the IDEA office on Thursday, December 16th.  Please feel free to drop-by anytime between 1pm and 3 pm – bringing friends and relatives who may be interested in your homeschooling endeavors.  All staff is on site that day and is excited to get to know your family better and to meet any friends you choose to bring with you.

Information about future 2010-2011 IDEA workshops will also be available that day.  We look forward to seeing you.

Currently, our family is homeschooling independently, but I am interested in IDEA.  So, I am planning to go to the open house, but it may depend on how things are going with the kiddos.  If you are interested in IDEA, this might be a great time to check it out.

The IDEA office is located in Anchorage at 670 W. Fireweed Lane.

Hope to see you at one or both things this Thursday.

Also, I'll be taking a break over the holidays.  The next activity will be posted for Thursday, January 6th, 2011.
